The flow diagram. Patients with a diagnosis of migraine without aura will be recruited at three centers (enrollment areas of Chengdu, Luzhou and Henan) taking part in the study. All participants should endure a baseline period of 4 weeks and inappropriate participants will be excluded. A total of 198 patients will be randomized to two groups: manual acupuncture and placebo acupuncture. Each patient will receive four weeks of treatment and 12 weeks of follow-up
