• Chest radiography consistent with community-acquired pneumonia

• The presence of ≥ 2 following pre-specified clinical criteria:

- Fever or hypothermia

- Cough

- Purulent sputum

- High white blood cell count

- Dyspnea

- Pleuritic chest pain

- Signs consistent with pneumonia on chest auscultation
