Study algorithm. The first experimental day (Day 1) will be performed 6–8 weeks following unilateral, primary, open groin hernia repair and will be separated by 7 days from the second experimental day (Day 2). Prior to the surgery, patients will receive oral and written information about the study. A follow-up phone call will be performed 2–3 weeks after surgery to assess the post-surgical pain level and eventual post-surgical complications.
