What are TCM syndromes?

“Syndrome” is an abstract generalization of the pathological changes of a disease at a certain phase, which can reveal the essence of the disease in a deeper and more comprehensive way, and is the basis of clinical treatment of TCM. In clinical practice of TCM, syndrome elements are of great significance for diseases diagnosis and treatment, owing to different syndrome groups have different metabolic characteristics and susceptibility to diseases.
