Asterisk indicates that if ferritin levels were ≤ 30 ng/mL previously, ferritin levels will be measured again after 6 or 12 months deferral before the donor is allowed to donate. Deferral strategies from this ferritin screening will follow the standard operating procedure of ‘repeat donor’
