• Temperature ≤ 37.8 °C without antipyretic agents

• Heart rate ≤ 100 per minute

• Spontaneous respiratory rate ≤ 24 per minute

• Systolic blood pressure ≥ 90 mmHg without vasopressor support

• Adequate oxygenation on room air (PaO2 ≥ 60 mmHg or pulse oximetry ≥ 90%)a
