Acupoints

Locationsa

Hegu (LI4)

On the dorsum of the hand, radial to the midpoint of the second metacarpal bone.

Quchi (LI11)

On the lateral aspect of the elbow, at the midpoint of the line connecting

LU5 with the lateral epicondyle of the humerus.

Zusanli (ST36)

On the anterior aspect of the leg, on the line connecting ST35 with ST41, 3 B-cun inferior to ST35. ST36 is located on the tibialis anterior muscle.

Taichong (LR3)

In the depression anterior to the junction of first and second metatarsal bones.

  1. a1 cun (≈ 20 mm) is defined as the width of the interphalangeal joint of patient’s thumb
