  1. Note: the visual analog scale is a line 10 cm long with a scale of 0–10, in which 0 denotes no pain and 10 denotes the worst pain. Patients are asked to mark their pains on the line, and the examiner scores the VAS by measuring the distance in centimeters (0 to 10) from 0 to the mark
