This figure compares the two-stage approach (having site assessors conduct an initial adjudication, and central assessors then adjudicate suspected events) with either having a site or central assessor adjudicate all outcomes. The false-positive and false-negative rates for the central assessor were 5%, and the false-positive rate for the site assessor was 10%. The false-negative rate for the site assessor is shown on the x-axis. The intraclass correlation coefficient was set to 0.10
