The effect of ACE inhibitor therapy on myocardial infarction in chronic coronary artery disease. ACE inhibitor dose and duration of therapy in the major large clinical trials of ACE inhibitors in coronary artery disease are shown. Reduction in myocardial infarction risk was obtained with prolonged administration of high doses of ACE inhibitors.
