  1. When analysing the overall treatment response per participant, mean percentage of repigmentation of all representative lesions for each participant was estimated. This was done by simply finding the total difference in size, of all lesions at baseline and week 16 in cm2. The results were afterwards converted into percentages and allocated to one of the five groups (negative–0%, 1–24%, 25–49%, 50–74%, 75–100%).
