  1. The qualitative recruitment investigation comprised two iterative and
  2. overlapping phases - a first phase of intensive data collection and analysis to
  3. investigate the issues that were leading to low levels of recruitment and an
  4. 'intervention' phase to improve recruitment through feedback and training.
  5. The investigation carried out over 10 months is represented in Table 1.
